I got this blog several years ago and I did blog for a while but then I quit due to personal reasons so when I decided to start blogging again, I removed several old entries and just kept two. I just noticed I haven't introduced myself (not that anyone will actually read this) but I'm hoping that maybe someone who is bored and surfing through the web will find this and maybe read it, ha!

Alright so here it goes!

I was born in a small country named El Salvador, located in Central America between Guatemala and Honduras (Believe it or not, a LOT of people don't even know it exists) on July 23rd, 1987. My maternal grandparents, aunts and mom are all Spain citizens (funny thing is I've never actually been to Spain, but would love to visit).

I had a pretty good childhood and teenage years (obviously we all went through an awkward stage during our teens but no biggie). I graduated high school back in November 2004 and college in November 2011. I had a couple of jobs in my home country before moving to the US to work and continue with my education (through a program that allowed me to do so).

Living in the US meant a lot for me, for starters, I was actually able to experience the world on my own outside my parents' bubble, I learned how to really handle my finances and stick to a budget (I learned that in College but knowing the definition of things doesn't really teach you anything until you actually put it to practice), I learned how to commute using public transportation in a big city (which I really couldn't do back home because our public transportation system SUCKS! but that will be another blog entry lol) and I learned how to be independent and do things on my own, from doing my own laundry to paying for gas, my cellphone and school.

I cherish that experience tremendously because it really made me become an adult, I did go through a lot of bad and sad experiences throughout the years (prior to moving to the US) which made me grow up and improve as a person but nothing really made me become an actual adult until I moved to a completely different country on my own. I met friends whom I love deeply and most importantly, I met my boyfriend and love of my life (sounds cheesy, I know! but it's true). He is the best man on earth and I feel blessed to have him in my life.

I lived in Hoboken, NJ for a while (which is close to Manhattan, a 10-15 mns commute) and I consider it my second home (I have hopes that perhaps one day, I will be able to move back) but then I moved to Fort Myers, FL which I really didn't like at first but I learned to love it.

It's always hard being away from people we love (family and friends) but the satisfaction that comes with being independent, it's beyond words.
